Welcome to the
AllPlay Teachers and Educators Portal
As an educator you will join this family on their journey, open the world of academic learning, and play a key role in preparing the child for the future of employment.
About the Program
AllPlay Learn offers a range of resources, information, strategies and courses that aim to help create inclusive education environments from long day care and kindergarten to secondary school for children and young people with disabilities and developmental challenges. You can learn about
- Child development and where to get more help if you have any concerns,
- The ABC approach to behaviour,
- Helping children and families transition into, between and out of educational settings,
- In-depth but easy to implement strategies to help you meet the unique inclusion needs of each child and student, and
- Best practice tips for your classroom.
You can also access a teacher’s guide to inclusion and a variety of resources including posters, printouts, case studies, stories and videos for supporting children, young people and families’ participation at your centre or school.
AllPlay Learn’s “Inclusive Foundations for Children with Disabilities’ professional learning courses have been designed for teachers and education support staff in Victorian early childhood education and care settings and government schools to learn more about inclusive practices that build on children and young people’s strengths and are evidence-based.
Your early childhood, primary or secondary school course counts towards 6 hours of PD on Special Needs for your VIT registration/renewal with masterclasses, case studies, reflection questions and exercises across core lessons (e.g. questions that promote inclusion, the ABC approach to behaviour, emotions, peer mediation and social skills strategies) and elective lessons on specific disabilities and challenges relevant to each age group (e.g. anxiety, physical disability, communication disorders, autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder).
